Tackle perfection and shame like a boss.
Everything that could go wrong…Went wrong yesterday at the beginning of my webinar.
My webinar was so Imperfect that it was more like a reality TV show!
Regardless of the lagging internet, my slides not showing up and resorting to drawing stick figures and a diagram of a sales funnel. That quite frankly looked more like a bad diagram of the female reproductive system!
My old default would have cancelled it.
I would have thrown my toys out of the cot and wallowed in the story until Xmas. But because I now only operate from an imperfect mindset, from backing myself every time…We rocked on baby!
Despite the stick drawings, the feedback has been PERFECT!
“Best explanation of a sales funnel I have ever seen!”
“Just showing up and being me, make so much sense!”
“You made sales so simple and obvious…Just a conversation”
If you want to be able to operate from this kind of confidence, because believe me, self belief IS the missing link.
Because that stuckness you feel right now, the shame you are feeling and the perfection will turn into:
- Losing your mojo
- Panicky flutters start to kick in,
- You spend time retrospectively… wishing like crazy you had saved a buffer to see you through.
The human in you….Well we can all she her. So the harder you try to push her down, the more it going to come out. I often tell my clients that they are like an octopus being put into a box…You are going to spill on out of there!
Being relatable is more important than being seen a perfect. Statistics tell us that 86% of people buy from others because of their reliability. That is a huge number to ignore.
But I get it the feelings of shame are real at the time. Understanding that these feelings are coming from your programmed beliefs helps you to detach from them. Being caught doing something wrong and being ridiculed for it as a child…Rears it head as we head into business.
Being aware of how you are feeling and why, is the greatest start. Acknowledge the feelings and see it. By shining a big ass light on this we can see it isn’t our present but our past.
Time to stop upper limiting yourself and enjoying who you are in your business.
Showing up feeling confident about all the parts of yourself.
